Advanced Technical Programs
ARTEC Regional Professional Technical Charter School (ARTEC RPTCS) offers advanced high-end professional technical programs of instruction to students in the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley areas. Currently, programs, which offer outstanding career opportunities, are available in Electronics, Diesel Mechanics, Information Technology, Web Based Technology, Health Occupations, Automotive Technology, Cabinetry/Millwork, Residential Construction, Business Marketing, and Advanced Manufacturing. Graduates will have the option of applying for jobs in their chosen field and/or the option of continuing post-secondary education in their chosen field with college credit already on their transcripts. Graduates will find meaningful jobs available that provide good beginning pay with opportunities for advancement. As ARTEC RPTCS expands, additional career programs will soon be offered.
Partnership with Local School Districts, College of Southern
Idaho, and Others
ARTEC RPTCS works in collaboration with local school districts, the College of Southern Idaho, private schools, chambers of commerce, local business and industry, and home schooled students’ parents to provide advanced technical education to all area high school age students. Some programs are offered directly on-site in the local area high schools and some through online instruction from the College of Southern Idaho that can be received wherever interest is available.
Public High School Students, Private School Students, Home School Students
Area high school students can take ARTEC RPTCS programs as part of their area local high school program and can receive their area local high school credit, and/or College of Southern Idaho college credits. Private and area public high school students will receive diplomas from their private or area public high school. Home school students can earn a high school diploma from ARTEC RPTCS by receiving academic instruction from fully qualified and certificated teachers through Idaho Digital Learning Academy in cooperation with ARTEC RPTCS.
