Gooding High School Health Professions

The Gooding High School Health Professions program is taught by Dene Miller.  Students have the opportunity to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate  Emergency Medical Technician B certificate, and dual credits from the College of Southern Idaho.   Students have participated in national HOSA events, mock disaster drills at both the community and regional levels, and internships in multiple medical disciplines.

Dene has been an RN for nearly forty years. She served in the Army Nurse Corp, retired from the Idaho Army Guard and decided to enter the teaching profession. While still working as a floor nurse, she began teaching in Wendell and went to Gooding in 2002. While continuing to teach, she earned her doctorate in Organizational Learning and Leadership.
